What are dental veneers

Porcelain or ceramic veneers are a dental treatment designed to transform your smile.  Dental veneers are  bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth.  Veneers are different than crowns because they offer amazing cosmetic results without as much "preparation" of the teeth.  Veneers can be used to achieve a number of results including changing the shape, size, shade and position of the teeth. Veneers are a safe and effective procedure that can last decades when done properly.

The Latest Technology

Veneers have been offered in cosmetic dentistry for years, but due to advancements in dental technology  porcelain veneers are more lifelike, natural and durable than ever before. We typically use a material called e.max.  E.max is a lithium dislicate that has unparalleled esthetics and strength ensuring that your case is lifelike, beautiful, and durable.

Can I have veneers?

Veneers are a relatively versatile dental treatment, but that doesn’t make them the best fit for all patients. Prior to getting veneers, you should know whether or not you are a good candidate. Dr. Henley can help you determine this. In most cases, patients who are typically good candidates are those who have good overall oral health and hygiene, but have chips, cracks, gaps between teeth, minor misalignment or discoloration.

Bonding & Implementation

Once you’ve consulted with Dr. Henley and Dr. Kelly and have gone through the necessary processes to find the exact shape and color of your veneers, it’s time to put them in. The veneers will be set in place and shaped to your natural teeth. Then a dentist will apply bonding cement that reacts with a curing light for a permanent fit and application.
